About This Ascent
"Pavlos Alekizoglou hike" is not just a big traverse. It is a route dedicated to a friend of the club who left his mark on the paths of Hymettus and in the hearts of those who knew him.
Trail 10 crosses almost the entire ridge of Hymettus, from Agia Paraskevi to Vari. A demanding but unique route that passes through peaks, successive climbs and endless panoramic views over all of Attica.
From Korakovuni and Evzona, to Mavrovuni, Kropia Forest and Panorama, every kilometer reveals a different side of the mountain we love.
And as every great traverse deserves to close in the best way... if time and the group permit, the established "hydration" at Vlahika will be the ideal finale of a truly full day!
After our transfer to Agia Paraskevi, we start from Agios Ioannis Kynigos and follow almost the entire route of Trail No10.
The route passes successively through:
- Korakovuni
- Diaselo OTE
- Korifi Euzwnas
- Sesi
- Mavrovuni
- Forest of Kropia
- Panorama
and ends in Vari, after one of the longest daily crossings of Hymettus.
Depending on the time and strength of the group, there is an optional stop for food or drink in the traditional Vlach village.
