Regulations & Safety
Club rules, mountain emergency protocols, insurance, medical clearance.
Safety is at the heart of everything the Ilioupolis Alpine Club does. Here you will find the club’s regulations, the emergency and rescue protocols we follow in the mountains, information on member insurance, and the medical clearance required for our schools and more demanding ascents. We ask every participant to read these guidelines carefully — knowing the rules and procedures protects you, your teammates and the whole group.

Mountain Safety Protocol (STOP)
In the mountains, panic is a bad advisor. When an accident or emergency occurs, follow the STOP protocol.

First Aid kit - always available!
To ensure, however, that we limit to the smallest possible degree any risk, let's look at what is needed for a general-use pharmacy that you may have forgotten, and my wish is unnecessary, always in your backpack.

Regulations for Participation in Ascents & Events

Regulation of Operation of Volunteer Committees
Our association is supported by the work and time of volunteers. Join one of our teams and help us keep the mountain open, safe, and alive.
